Chrome constantly crashes when opening threads on here

    Last few days have found Chrome is constantly crashing when on the BBS

    I'm on an android device and it seems to be exclusively this site causing the issues with Chrome (as well as getting other messages about other apps not responding at the same time)

    Has anyone else experienced this? Or thoughts on why it might be happening/how to fix it?

    Thought it was an update to my phone and just been trying to resolve it. Obviously if you're experiencing the same then it's this site. It's almost unusable.

    It was doing the same for me, so I tried opening the site on the Samsung browser and it appears to work OK.

    Funnily enough, I have to use Chrome, because in FF half the site doesn't load. I put that down to a rouge cookie or an extension, but maybe I'm wrong. .

    I wonder if that's what the black squares appearing on my android display are about when I'm viewing this site online. I'd got this weird idea that it was someone trying to contact me from the other side.

    Anyone who's seen this. Is it just on Android? (I use chrome on my mac most of the time haven't seen anything)

    Just on my phone. And I think it's only threads with links to Twitter or including YouTube videos.

    Chrome on Windows 11 is OK for me.

    Opened this thread to see Gallys reply and it froze for me straight away, closed Chrome, opened it again and seems OK for now. But I imagine the same thing will happen if I open the site again in a bit

    I use Safari on my Mac. Chrome on my Android phone. No issues, as yet. Operating systems, browsers, etc all can cause these things & sites that use outdated PHP / Windows platforms. It is a minefield.

    Android phone and Win 10 laptop and Windows 11 PC (DAW) no issues* with chrome/BB here.

    *except ongoing issue with posting pictures direct from Windows desktop.
