The bookies have Derby as slight favourites at 16/11 in the early betting. Unserstandable really when you consider that Derby have lost just 1 of their last 18 league games (away to Wycombe).

Despite that lengthy stretch, Derby are only a point ahead of us and have played a game more. During that run, they've drawn 7 games, which is 2 more than we've drawn all season.

Their form away from home is also questionable for a side in 5th place. Whilst we've amassed the same amount of points both home and away, Derby have gained 15 more points at Pride Park than they have on their travels. The encounter on Saturday sees the leagues 8th best home record vs the leagues 9th best away record.

And it's against the better sides in the league that Derby have dropped points away from home, with Port Vale being the only side currently in the top half they've beaten away. They failed to score at Wednesday, Ipswich, Bolton, Charlton, Shrewsbury and Portsmouth.

Our record vs Derby at Oakwell is fairly mixed. This century we've won 5, drawn 5 and lost 3 of the meetings at Oakwell, however the games do tend to be tight with the odd goal in it, with a couple of 3-2 victories being the obvious highlights. We were victorious over Derby last season at Oakwell, with Adeboyejo and Leya Iseka on the scoresheet in a game I have absolutely no recollection of. I do recall going in Maison Du Biere pre-match to buy my brother a birthday pint, which is the only indicator I attended. I only know that because of the date.

I'm feeling this one might be a tentative draw. With two sides cancelling each other out. I do feel though that if we score first, we would see the game out. I'm hoping for Derby's away record against the top sides to continue, and going for 1-0 with Norwood scoring midway through the first half for the win, in front of a crowd of 17,000.

    You reds!!!!

Agree with all that Archey. Derby’s away record isn’t that great. Fleetwood and Shrewsbury have amassed more away points than Derby. Would we be as jittery if we were playing one of those two instead?

I saw Derby win 3-2 at Cheltenham Town recently. They conceded in the third minute, so look vulnerable early on and we have been making fast starts, so that bodes well. However, once they got into gear, thy looked a real threat and scored three goals - they should have had more, but missed two sitters. They have highly experienced players like Collins, McGoldrick, Hourihane and Mendez-Laing. All seasoned professionals, who could do a Norwood against us. They did look very jittery and the last ten/fifteen minutes when the score was 2-3 and their game almost fell apart. I think that, if we can keep in touch until the last fifteen minutes, they will try to shut up shop for a draw and we could snatch it. On that basis, I will go for 2-1 to the Super Reds. COYR.

    Take a 1-0 win now
But think it will be 1-1 thriller
Hope we can match and obviously beat these massive teams above us in the table

The only reservations I have is that we've not a phenomenal home record either. We've beaten mainly the teams you'd expect, and struggled against anyone who've had anything about them. Exeter, Wycombe and to a degree Port Vale all did a number on us.

2-1 to the Reds. Never should have lost at Pride Park earlier in the season so the balance will be restored. Shaw to pour oil on troubled waters with a brace.

Torn between 1-1 or 2-1 us. Think Derby will score first early on, but can’t see a win for them.

    I remember a 5-1 - early / mid 80's.

Would take same again, but am going for a nervy yet exciting 2-2.
Phillips and a late Shaw equaliser.

Mads to send all the crowd a hand-written home-made Easter card after.

I'll settle for a point now. However in my usual pessimistic fashion I think Derby will turn up strongly not to lose and may well do us over 2-0.
    Or we might beat them.

I really have no idea which way this will pan out. I'm going with my brother & my nephew. Have to say a draw wouldn't be a bad result, but hope we might shade it...

Remember 5-1 game - Debut for Paul Futcher and Calvin Plummer - Plummer looked like a world beater that day!
