up to a year or so I'd buy 24 tins of Chappie from Asda for £14 and a bit. Great stuff for our Finchy.
It went up bit by bit but now ....
    Today, same stuff ..... £27 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    £29 at Pets at Home.
What the flip is going on?

At that price I'd start putting it in my casseroles.

Blooming heck, that’s almost doubled. Makes me glad Guide Dogs provide all the food, our food shop’s gone up enough as it is.

It would probably be cheaper to bump off a few local scrotes and mince them up to make dogfood. Worst case, you get caught and never have to worry about buying any ever again...

Decent cat food has got so expensive that it's now cheaper for me to boil chicken thighs for most her meals, plus I get a nice stock to make soup with.

For "cost of living" crisis read "corporate opportunity to increase profit margins". We are truly being shafted - rampant capitalism folks.

Over a quid a tin. Might be cheaper to cook up a load of heart, tripe and kidney and freeze it.

Laura's uncle Steve goes and buys a load of chicken carcasses, minces them and feeds the dogs that. He freezes the rest and sells it.

Sausage prices will rise dramatically in the next couple of months. The poorer quality lower meat content ones have already risen ridiculously
