Best performance in a Reds shirt so far, should have been MOTM

Not seen it today due to iFollow problems, but one or two on here were quite critical of Herbie, however, your assessment is more in line with the commentary. Excellent performance by just about everyone except Watters maybe.

He’s been good regularly this season and was good again today too.

I’d say midfield is possibly our strongest area and Russell also showed some very nice touches when he came on. Get Benson fit again and we have quite a few options in there.

I think Kane is really coming good now and Russell will soon be starting if he can do the without the ball work that Duff demands of everybody.

From my observations on Russell today ,was there's a very good player there, way too good for this league and its our gain and Huddersfields loss.

He was excellent today. As he has been several times lately. Can’t believe how many people still doubt him / don’t rate him.

Now he’s fully fit and having a run in the team it’s the time to judge him, and I feel he’s become very important for us.

Kane was exceptional today. Ran the midfield. First viewing of Russell also tells me we've a number of good midfield options now too, especially when you consider Benson and Wolfe are out injured at the minute.

That was me. I wanted him off and the bigger, more of a presence Russell on. I got my wish, except that it was Phillips who went off. No problem with that.

I just don't rate Kane apart from odd flashes and odd good games. We paid far too much money for him, but that's not a new thing is it?

Brilliant performance and that shimmy and curling shot that almost reached the top corner was outstanding

Russell! Good grief, how have we managed to get him! If he functions for a full 90 mins and has a heart bigger than a pea, we’ve got some player there.

You can't say we paid too much money for him. Well you can, but that's your opinion. Most of us hold Kane is high regard. The money in football these days is huge. If we get a couple of good seasons out of him and then sell, or if he retires here, it'll be money well spent for me. There's a difference between bringing him off for a more physical presence or having a poor game and wanting a substitute and saying he's just not very good. He's been great for us this season. My opinion obviously, I have to say that because I get shot down every time I don't :D

Was properly willing for that to go in. Looked effortless didn't it? His turn, run, shot, everything. Got to say Cotter can breeze past players too as though they're not there. Hopefully we'll see plenty of them both this season!!

I’d agree with that. That Cruyff turn and the strike at goal! Could’ve been one of the best debut goals in our history. Did well for Hudders last season and, early signs, certainly looks like he can play.

We are all entitled to our opinions and thank goodness we don't all agree all the time. It annoys me though when people say "you know nothing about football" if opinions clash. It's football, we all see different things, from different angles in the ground. Today I saw a thoroughly professional performance with some bits of real top quality from individuals lighting the game up, especially second half.

I've been a critic of Devante Cole this season but he turned it on today, in the second half at least. Just shows what a bit of competition does for players. We have a squad of able footballers in every position now so nobody can afford to ease up. I am convinced we will not finish below sixth and after that....who knows :)

Shame we didn't get an in line with the penalty box throw in because I was itching to see Barry do what he did against Pompey last week. That was outstanding and I am sure he will get other opportunities this season

Agreed with what said about Cole.....great second half, it was as if he realised we were a man down and he had to put a real shift in....well done Devante!
