I am liking Duff more and more. He's had half a season seeing the squad regularly and now he's taken the chance to move on a few he doesn't rate.

Tbf, I think it's more likely that Jack wanted to go back north. And the club didn't stand in his way. He's had some personal issues we all know of, but details of which have remained private.

It's probably best all round for everyone

I like Aitchison. He has a fair amount of talent. I'm quite surprised at his departure.

According to Doug he wanted to move back to Scotland for personal reasons.
    Good luck to the lad

Would have liked to have seen a bit more of him here to be honest, but hope he can kick on. All the best Jack!

Bit of an odd one tbh. We aren’t blessed with many options in the squad and seems odd we have let him go for free and no mention of any add one surely would have been better keeping him till the summer as one injury in our forward line and we are back to where we are now I’m guessing Luke Thomas must be part of the thinking I guess, but even after saying that I don’t think Aitchison ever really brought much to the team.

We've brought 2 strikers in and like you say have Thomas (and potentially Tedic) nearing a return

I liked Aitchison but I'm reasonably happy with where we are now on that front

I liked Aitchison and wish him well. We always seemed to play our best football when he was in the side. Clever player but sadly didn’t find the net enough. Strange we’ve given him away though, definitely worth a fee even for the 6 months he had left. No mention of one?

Shame, he'd just put in his best performance for us too!

I do think league 1 might have been his level though, so if we're to get back to the championship, he's a player we'd need to improve on.

And if it's a move for personal reasons, I fully understand why we've let him leave.

    All the best Jack.

If we went up would he get a start..? Na, good look Jack, but strikers need to score. Cole will be the next to find that out.

Although I liked Jack. Re his effort. It's a wage bill off the books. (£30k in savings if as reported £1500pw) Duff may see him drop down the pecking order after the new arrivals and others coming back from injury. He would have left in the summer for nowt. And maybe no value for anyone on paying a fee. Waiting till then. If no offers came in.
    Good luck to the lad.
