    Looks tike Dad is coming to a care home that is 10 minutes from my flat. It happens to be one of the best in Leeds too. Love my Dad. He was a fellow wrestler with Brian Glover, but grew up with Norman Rimmington too & they were close. So glad. It has been tough since my Mum died last year. This is a real ray of hope.

    Thanks everyone for all the messages of support. We are going to the home on Friday to finalise everything, but all the key stumbling blocks re Dad's mobility & general health have been crossed. He's wanted this for a while now, as we all have. All his remaining family is in Leeds, my brother & his wife & his two grandchildren & me. Will be great to take him out for a coffee in Headingley soon.

    I know you had a tough time of it over the last several yrs. Opening up on here. So glad things appear to have improved.
    As for your Dad mate. It comes across you have a great relationship. Treasure him. I was fortunate to have a dad who I loved dearly but didn't really show it as much as I did in the last decade of his life. So much so i called him my best mate. And I still adhere to that though he died nearly 20yrs ago. I take all my principles and dare I say care of humanity from him
    I know he would have been proud of that. And also my hatred of tory governments lol.

    The home actually moved him to Victoria Medical Centre. That appears a better set up. The one the home in Headingley use is 5 minutes walk away & are pretty decent, so that is one of many plus points.
