I get that the fact they scored two very late goals to beat FGR but I don't think that's any reason for a load of them to invade the pitch and pile on top of the celebrating players. I thought this was supposed to be a criminal offence? Nothing on the BBC about it yet but I wonder if they were just allowed to go back to their seats rather than being ejected from the ground, facing banning orders? I know we often see one or two numpties thinking they are entitled to celebrate with the players but this was at least half a dozen, maybe more, as shown on the ITV highlights show.
That’s what I was wondering. Either it’s ok to do that, or it isn’t. I’m sure it’s NOT allowed so some punishment should follow, preferably for those involved. They came from the side stand, where the players were celebrating, rather than the usual behind the goal incursions
I can't even imagine how many Wrexham fans would have been on the the pitch had the blunts not equalised.
True but that would have been the usual mass pitch invasion all desperate to be seen on the telly and, as is “normal” these days, several taking sly kicks or throwing punches at opposition players. As each season goes by I can only see a return to fencing, or some other means of keeping people off the pitch. Something has to happen before some moron attacks a player with a knife.
