    The story in the film is basically right, there was a bloke called Dave in Burnley that started his own 'Bank' but the rest is bunk.

    There was no Def Leppard concert, they never managed to raise the required funds hence there is no bank (it's a lending company), the solicitor story is made up, he did receive pushback from the powers that be but nothing like in the film.

    Apart from that it's a good film, it's a Lancastrian Fisherman's |Friends.

    I met Dave a few years ago when I bought a couple of LDV mini buses off him, a really nice bloke and a proper character. He was more interested in showing me his new helicopter.

    He's on tiktok these days where he is so excited showing people the helicopter and how it all works. Seems like a really nice bloke

    Just watched the real life TV series on youtube, top bloke, he's doing the TV interview rounds at the moment cos the films out. The real life version is much more entertaining than the fictional version.

    I like a millionaire who celebrates with a chip butty, ok, he drives a ferrari and an helicopter, but he's grounded.
