Can't wait for the outcome of the investigation into that. Failing to control the fan/s. Major incident for me.
How much did we get fined for the sexist chants, was it £40k? Be interesting how much Spurs get for this considering their wealth compared to us, especially with it being a more serious incident.
Again I'll point out we weren't fined just for the chanting. It was for our negligence in failing to adhere to the previously enforced action plan, a complete disregard to the seriousness of the matter and a failure to provide any evidence of the claims we made regarding anti discrimination at the club.
Not much of a kick? Bloody snowflake.. If you’re going to get a lifetime ban, might as well give him some proper welly.. Not that I condone such horrifying behaviour..
Ramsdales fault for provoking the fans by picking up his gloves. to be fair to spurs I don’t know how you stop one moronic fan.
The kid is absolute toast. Just watched more footage as he goes back to his seat, his mate shields him while he removes coat and scarf, then walks out in full view. Great work from Sky cameraman. He'll be getting a knock at his door tonight
I see its actually Arteta to blame according to some poor mans piers Morgan claiming to be a journalist in the Mirror Not sure which link works https://www.mirror.co.uk/all-about/richard-keys or https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/arteta-referee-keys-arsenal-newcastle-28870624
He admits to giving some back. The fan should rightly be banned for life, but a professional Football player shouldn't rise to what fans say. It's a surprise to me more fans haven't gone on the pitch before up and down the country with the way things have gone since covid restrictions were lifted. Take for example when a team score and they incite opposition fans. Refs never do anything about it. Usually they aren't even watching the goal celebration so conveniently miss what goes off.
Not sure there is much harm in a keeper giving a bit of banter back to the fans - Ive seen it on quite a few occasions and its always been a bit of harmless fun
Doesn't matter what he said. Words don't justify physical violence. Especially at a football match. Pathetic from the spurs 'fan'
Richarlison did more to incite the crowd than Ramsdale at the end, with his petulant pushing and shoving. There might not be much that a club can do to stop an individual fan, but I still think clubs need to be put on notice now, to say any fans getting on the pitch (or near enough to kick a player) and hitting/shoving/whatever a player or official will be facing a points deduction or a run of games behind closed doors, or both. Can argue that it is punishing the clubs and fans that did nothing wrong, but there's a need to stigmatise this behaviour which is becoming too common now. That is proper Morgan Vs Markle stuff. Criticising a coach for arguing with the refs when a decision goes against his team, or leaving his technical area. Because no coaches do that!
Arteta is renowned for being in the 4th officials ear all game, Richarlison needs a 3 game ban for putting his fist in Ramsdale's face, the fan needs banning for life and Spurs need fining for failing to control their fans - the stewards didn't even try and nab him just pushed him back into the crowd - pathetic. Plenty of the brain donors in Twitter saying Ramsdale "deserved" it for goading the snowflakes in the spurs end - same logic which defends the Millwall mongs storming the family stand. Football has too many of these idiot players, idiot fans, rubbish Stewards and badly behaved managers.
Should just send the managers to the stands if they're being idiots on the touchline, zero tolerance. Would say the same for players surrounding refs, I'd just tell the refs that in those circumstances they're ok to chuck red cards around like confetti, they'll soon stop. Klopp is the worst manager for it. All smiles when Liverpool are winning, mask soon drops when their form dips.
