Can only assume Macc are hoping some publicity will come their way as a result. If I was manager there, I'd be telling him to play for his club or expect to be released if being a clapped-up celebrity is more important to him than his football career.
Good for him? I would be absolutely mortified if either of my kids went on that sleaze fest. Some things (integrity, privacy, etc) are far more important than money.
I reckon if they said that, he'd still go anyway, so at least this way, he comes back after and they might get publicity out of it. I'd imagine a couple of the better known former 'contestants' are making much more money than the average Macclesfield player. But as Marc says above, its a thoroughly toxic showpiece, which reflects the way society as a whole seems to be moving.
One or two of the former contestants are now millionaires. Many more are no better off than when they started.
Don’t know him. Could be a lovely lad but can’t help but think that anyone who wants to go on that show just wants a cheap ticket to be famous for a month or two. Most get forgot about within a month and end up with mental health issues as with fame comes criticism and most can’t handle it. Good luck to him though but can’t help but think that the kid wants a bit of attention like all of them that enter.
good luck to him, its not that deep and Love Island doesn't represent the downfall of Western Civilization, its just a symptom of it.
Terrible show along with the other sh-ite like Big Brother etc. The funniest thing about it is all the dullards that watch it don’t realise it’s not actually “real” & its producer led to make it more “entertaining”.
I guess he's backing himself to be one of the select few. I hadn't realised Macclesfield are in the 8th tier these days after their reformation, so presumably he has a day job too. So I guess putting his football career on hold isn't that much of a big deal. He'll make thousands in TV, radio and nightclub appearances alone.
Not my bag but I hope he gets the necessary support required to deal with the **** that comes with such an experience.
Except for Made in Chelsea which is real and not scripted and filmed with hidden cameras inside the eyes of passers by.
Yes places like the middle east should be living like us, love island, cocaine, high divorce rates, prisons overcrowded, high crime rates etc we will show them how to live.
Although I've never seen it, the trailers I've endured made me like your post. same goes for Made in Chelsea, I mean FFS
