It's not out until Tuesday and already the number one seller on Amazon. It doesn't show Johnson or Cummings in a good light. As far back as January you've the Chief Medical Officer telling the Health Secretary how bad it could be and yet you've the PM and his unelected advisor not bloody listening to what Whitty is telling Hancock.

It will be a self serving attempt to rehabilitate his reputation, like his stint in I'm a Celebrity.

I have no idea how much of it will be true but that's the problem, nobody can tell and the author is such an unreliable source that it's not worth the paper it's written on.

Also, surely the fact that a public enquiry is ongoing prohibits the release of a publication such as this.

The link is to the Hate Mail so unfortunately my laptop started crying when I moved the mouse over it...

Surprised there is no mention of them advising the NHS trusts in January to purchase as much PPE in preparation in case it came here.

You mean advise the NHS to spend millions on PPE from their mates that wasn't fit for purpose.

As Kevin Maguire said this morning. "Book shops should put it straight in the fiction section"
Some of the antics and spin Hancock has used to fill this work of a serial liar are deplorable. I'd say build a bonfire with em. Trouble is, he'll still make a fortune the ctun.
As for the public enquiry. It's years away.

Why do we need an enquiry when everyone an their aunt can see what transpired? The main protagonists aren't in those roles anymore and will never be made directly accountable so why waste more money?

Those that ran the **** show will hopefully not be able to hide behind their feeble excuses of blaming anyone else bar themselves. There are still those out there that defend em to the hilt.
The mishandling of care homes. The confusing messages being sent out.
Don't need to wear a mask.
    Wear a mask.
Sending people back into care homes from hospital and blaming care staff for transmission of the disease.
Spunking massive amounts on useless ppe.
Making rules and blatantly taking the piss out of em.
We are aware of all these things.
But they should be brought to task. And answer difficult questions.
No doubt this lot will be relieved if one didnt go ahead.
Like the miners strike and the war in Iraq.

Public accountability and the opportunity to learn lessons for the future.

    It's very important.

I'm not sure everyone does. And having a view is different to the official findings of an enquiry. Without one the mess is being swept under the carpet.

Certainly not mine I'd have thought. But for all those who lost love ones that'll still be here.

Has he written his entry about the protective ring he put around care homes yet?

Unless the enquiry includes the conduct and conflicts of interest of the Government's scientific advisors - which it won't - then it's a waste of bloody time.
