I think it looks awful. Although I do understand the reason for it, hopefully we'll only have to see it for just this one match.
They can have as many kits as they like mate, I won't be buying one. As @Marc says, you're not compelled to buy one and in these cost of living crisis days, I wouldn't expect them to sell many, whether they have just one shirt or 10. Besides which I don't believe its any sort of cynical marketing move, more likely an attempt to compensate for the sponsorship debacle at the start of the season.....
Jason Sraha is one of the models of the shirts. If forgotten about him to be honest, after looking good against Preston at the end if last season.
I really like it but it is too expensive for me ,however I do not understand the negativity , surely the more kits available the more choice , you would be disappointed if you went into a sports shop to buy a shirt & there was only 2 to choose from & as others have said it is not compulsory to buy one .
They could have 10 kits for all I care. If people want one, they’ll buy one. If they don’t they won’t.
I don't like the shirt but you can't criticise the club for not maximising resources then be up in arms when they bring a shirt out or organise a Beegee's tribute act. I know I joke about flatbreads and warm lager but it's money towards the next James Norwood.
What this club have done with different kits over the last 2 seasons is a joke. It’s all with the intention of trying to raise some extra money for a club that is essentially skint !! I know it’s no one’s fault in terms of who is working at the club day to day but the whole thing smacks of desperation to me.
But if you're spending £48 quid on a shirt made in Vietnam for a few quid you would want to see the players play in it lots, so more kits to wear makes that less likely to happen.
"The shirt features a red Barnsley FC crest, as well as the Puma and Parliament logo which are positioned on the front and back of the shirt respectively." Every image shows the shirt without the parliament logo doesn't it? Or am I missing something?
