It's good that we can lose a couple of regular First team players, then not be worried about a weakened side / bench, and still come away with a good win.
Thought this myself. Quite a few unavailable but a strong team and bench in my opinion. The likes of Lareche, Phillips and Martin look like they could be difference makers to me.
Don’t really get this. If we’ve players out and the opposition know they can adjust their tactics up front. If our squad has a few surprises in it it makes it more difficult for whoever we’re playing. Not sure what value it adds to the fans other than if we’re a bit nosey. If you were off work for some reason would you want your gaffer broadcasting that you weren’t coming in for a few days whilst you got your piles taken care of?
I can see that but even after the event we’ve only got @jptykes ’having read it somewhere’ re Aitchison to go on. They are after all people who perform in the public eye. If it’s a personal issue then they should just say so. Anyway just leave my piles out of it
I just think we should accept that the manager has picked the players available that he thinks will win us the game. If some one isn’t available or is a doubt I’ll trust the manager/coach to pick the best alternative. Particularly this manager.
Because it might have implications for the next match? And then we're back in the exact same position @Deafening Silence was referring to
Jeez this football we’re talking about. I used the wrong expression when I said secret service. The whys and what for’s re Aitchison and Wolfe will no doubt be in Fridays Chronicle. It’s all just another example of the poor standard of communication by the club that we have to wait until then
Weird innit, what difference a few wins can make in football. Couple of weeks ago it was the worst transfer window ever, and we were gonna struggle to stay up. All of a sudden talk is of promotion and what strength in depth we have. Not a criticism btw, just an observation on how fickle football fans can be. Me included.
