Planning to go for a long walk tomorrow from Denby Dale to Penistone then back towards town. Does anyone know if any pubs will be open en route? TIA.

As far as I'm aware all the pubs around Penistone are opening as normal

If you get lost and end up in Wakefield centre, don’t go to the Black Rock cos it’ll be shut !

Both Hoylandswaine pubs are shut. I’d be surprised if anywhere is open until the afternoon/evening

For anyone in the Cudworth/Lundwood/Stairfoot area there is a hidden little gem of a pub called Rodders Bar tucked away on the Trans Pennine Trail.
It is basically a converted horse box with a large beer garden and a huge marquee (where, I think they are screening the funeral for those who want to watch it).
    They are open today.
It is just a shame I have only just found the place this late in the year as it’s only a half hour walk, for us, down from Ardsley. Perfect for summer pints.

All the pubs near me are shut including Cromwells, which is a bit ironic.
