Glassworks is also free evenings and weekends. 2 mins walk from the Mount.

For night games, after the match, the shutters are usually down on the entrance and also the cut through to market/glass works, meaning coming from Lambra Road you have to walk all the way around Wilkos then down New Street to the lifts

And here-in lies the fault with the whole Glassworks project as built. Originally, open access to the eastern side of town without having to walk alway round, was going to be restored.

Tbf that was never the final plan and was before conversations with developers and anchor tenants had occurred. It soon became apparent they’d need to build a multi-storey. Although, they definitely could’ve done better with opening up that side. For starters they could’ve made the entrance at the back a bit more open and certainly shouldn’t have put shutters on it!
