Still no Ticket news and only 9 days away. I know it wont sell out but surely they could start selling tickets. Or the ones who went to Lincoln game go in for free due to that performance we put on against them
Thought they announced at same time as Lincoln the tickets would be £10 they even used the Same programme for both games
The tickets for this game are on sale on the ticketing website and have been for a bit now tbh at £10 adults, £1 kids, £5 seniors. Make sure you have 'Papa John's Trophy' ticked on the home page as the default seems to be to just show league game tickets. At present you can virtually have any seat in the East Stand!
Might end up going to this to get my fix if this weeks games get cancelled. I’ll be climbing the walls by then!
No way I'll ever go to a game where we are playing some "big club's" U21's I know it is the p1$$ pot Papa John's trophy. Their pizzas are crap & over priced as well.
I haven't been to a Trophy game since they brought in the Prem sides. Shame, as it was a nice little competition when it was exclusively L1/L2. I hope those who do attend enjoy the game, and I hope they see us win, but it's not something I'm prepared to fork out for - not even if we got to Wembley.
Agreed. Thin edge of the wedge. I'm sure the big clubs would like to get their U21's competing in the lower divisions. If that happens it is game over for me.
As others have said, joke of a competition now. So glad we won it before. Catering to the 'big' sides yet again.
I kind of hope two EPL U21 sides make it to Wembley, so they have the ignominy of a 3-figure attendance at the final. Might hit home that the JPT format was the right one.
So this is the group table.. Lincoln, 3 pts, 3-0 Doncaster, 2 pts, 0-0 Newcastle U's, 1 pt, 0-0 Barnsley, 0 pts, 0-3
Think I will go ,reckon it’s a chance for people with less money to take kids to Oakwell, also I go to under 21 games at Oakwell when work allows ,like to support all levels of teams we have
