    I’m genuinely torn. I really should make the switch. Beyond meat, the practices around dairy and even things like honey farms is pretty grim too. I’d say if you’re going veggie, go vegan. I realise I’m a hypocrite though, as I’m not even veggie, even though I’m aware of what goes on with animal products. I need to do more.

    I haven't eaten meat since the mid 90s & later phased out dairy, though i don't beat myself up if I consume a bit of dairy nowadays. Shopping is difficult for me & I do enough for bloody animals. :)

    I got a 7 day twitter ban last week - someone who voted for Brexit said he could slap himself for voting leave - I commented that there was probably 48% of the country who would quite happily slap you with lots of smiley faces! Went against their guidelines :-(

    Do you understand the rate of breeding, fattening & slaughter that brings you your Big Mac everyday? Suspend all enforced breeding tomorrow & you basically have a few weeks of mature stock in the national herd, poultry less..
    Plant based substitutes couldn't possibly keep up with replacement demands. Which carnivores sneer at anyway, except through the pandemic when they cleared stock when the meat sold out, leaving nothing for 'normal' people. Greedy b@stards..

    Apex predators? What indigenous species could take out a mature domestic cow or bull? Bears? Wolves? In a pack, yes, eventually. But they probably wouldn't bother. Humans would be much easier prey, when they're hungry enough..

    Anyway, I wasn't looking for a debate. Just sharing the rights of passage that is facebook jail. & I'd already suggested throwing meat eaters to the lions, so better keep me gob shut. Otherwise Loko will nick me too. :D

    Sons mate put on Facebook about their upcoming holiday jokingly that my son would need arm Bands in the pool. My son replied I’ll drown you. Got instant ban for 48 hours.

    Seen loads of examples like that where people getting banned for banter between mates.
