I think I was more shocked than their goalie when the ball nestled in the net.

I was just thinking he'd done real well to get to the byline and had run out of space, and then ...

    GOOOOOAAAAALLLLL!!!!!

He was very good today. I know a lot of fans, including myself, weren't keen on him, but for good reason a lot of times. His work rate seemed really, really poor last season. Wasn't breaking sweat to get into good attacking positions, didn't make runs, didn't pull defenders away, didnt even attempt to win some balls. But he looked a completely different player today, and hopefully his confidence has shot up and can get into double figures for us... He deserves a LOT of praise tonight, as does Duff whos clearly working his magic on him!

Played well. If I could have picked someone to score the opener I would have picked him. He's been lacking confidence so hopefully that goal has the desired affect.

When I first saw the goal last night on the highlights on sky sports app I thought it was maybe deflected or just some dodgy keeping from the angle they showed. Barnsley just tweeted out the goal from a different angle and it was actually a really good finish.

Sounds like he had a great game all round last night too which is great to hear. Hopefully he retains his place for Saturday and puts in another good performance.
