Sadly it’s going to be a struggle agsin to create any kind of scoring chances ,no wonder Duff said we need good set piece routines

We had neither creative nor disruptive midfielders on at the start.

Connell looked good pre-season but did not do the job today. I'm not sure why Wolfe wasn't on from the start.

Thomas looked bright when he came on. But he can pass and move, as we played under Struber.

Wolfe definitely needs to start in my opinion next game. Did well when he came on. If he can do some more of the dirty work, might free up a bit of space for connell. Thomas looked decent too

Styles needs moving on asap, even if it’s for £500k. He’s never had a decent game in midfield for us. Overrated on the back of one good season at LWB. He’s too slow and he’s lazy to boot….

Haven't seen it mentioned what a huge difference Luke Thomas made when he came on with his application and direct running.

We can't play this formation with no creatively from the midfield 3. Think Styles was supposed to be the creative link today, but Thomas looked far more lively when he came on.

In that starting line-up you wouldn't really deem any player creative which will need to change.

Just back, not a great performance but we had chances to score. really can't see the point in laying out from the back via Mads, he's only got a right foot so can't deliver any attacking passes down the left. We're short of decent wingers, can't see us scoring many goals playing this way. Jordan Williams had a reasonable game. How has Cole conned all these managers into thinking he's a footballer, shocking performance from him, never looked interested and never won a ball. Hey ho, only a short journey home. COYR

I would have liked to see Wolfe and Connell on together. I thought the latter looked industrious, skillful and insightful and with a decent enforcer to look after him, could be quite a handful. Wolfe (perhaps scarily) is the closest thing we have to that right now.

The front line, as we know is piss weak, at least until Norwood is match fit and, MotM Collins aside, the defence looked very shaky.
