Granted it is quite a large garden but enclosed by trees and a hedge, but that's some going. I used a Salus central heating reader/transmitter thingy so it ought to be fairly accurate.
Kin ell. Went in my loft earlier to get summat. I don't know what the temp was but it was like being hit by a hair drier on full temp.
My son sent me this around half 12, thermometer on side of my garden shed. No idea how accurate it is though showing 44
Should be accurate enough but it's in the sun so it will be higher, temperature should be measured in the shade, preferably with good airflow past the bulb.
Yeah that's what I thought, but still bloody warm Only stepped out of work for a sec and got burnt to a crisp
Met Office temperatures are always given as in the shade. Direct sunlight temps can be misleading due to passing clouds, aircraft, santas etc.
Doesn't count I am afraid as it is in direct sunlight. It needs to be in the shade to get an accurate air temperature reading. We keep ours on the wall under the loggia in the shade near the ktchen door
Yeah, they're in a box 4ft off the ground and away from other buildings. Actual real world temperatures will obviously be much higher, especially around built up areas. Wales smashed 37c. Wasn't supposed to be that hot there!
