I've always fancied one of these but can't see it ever happening. It would be impossible to get a day off work at such short notice for the weather to be good enough.

Bit weird probs....but when i was a kid they were always up in the sky in abundance.
Maybe it's all the regulations these days?
Never heard owt about one coming down, causing death/injury mind.
No doubt someone on here can dispel my opinion?

You couldn't pay me to go up in one of them things. I'd need brown trousers on.

I was bought a balloon flight for my 50th birthday. The issue is all about safety. My flight was delayed twice and on a 3rd occasion the ballon was inflated but the wind got up and the pilot had to abandon it. I finally took off at the 4th attempt. It was a great experience but the landing was a bit “hairy”.

much better to be safe than embark on a risky flight.

The conditions have to be absolutely perfect for it.

Think my dad got one for his 60th and was nearly 62 by the time he finally used it. Think it'd been cancelled 5 times.
