    Think games are going to be won from the bench this season with the 5 sub rule and unfortunately for us were not close to having a strong enough bench so for me there’s still plenty needed in this next 3 weeks.

    Thanks both. He’s been talked about for a long time. I wondered if we just wanted a last look at him against better opponents. We’ll find out eventually!

    As an aside. Was talking to a lass at bank t'other day and she said David Hirst talked his young'un out of signing for us because we're not big enough.

    I suppose it depends how much he played there, and how much were planning on playing him today (assuming it is him). We don't have a striker on the bench otherwise. We had an academy player play for the u23s and then the first team the day after a few seasons ago didn't we? Might have been Jacob Brown when he first broke through. And that was competitively.
