    Why though ?
Surely the away side should just use another kit?

Surely the away team will be able to avoid a colour blind clash from the three kits they'll have available?

Or just ban certain colours from away kits. Wouldn't that help?

So if a club has a number of colour blind fans, then they will have to play in their away kit?

I don't think that's right. No offence, but surely the colour blind fans have got used to what colour they "see" their team play in for all these years.

I’m not having this! I want to see Barnsley play in green at oakwell like they always have done all the time I’ve being going!

Nothing to do with being used to seeing your team in a certain colour.

During my long and distinguished career as a player and manager in the North Berks League, if there was a colour clash the home team had to wear their change kit.

Colour blindness isn’t just that you see a different colour, it’s that in can be almost impossible to distinguish between some colours. So a person with colour blindness wouldn’t see our kit as green and say ‘oh, that must be BFC because they’re in green’, they’d see our kit and the other team’s green kit as pretty much the exact same colour. You’re used to us always playing in our shade of red but if another team turned up in an almost identical shade of red you’d find it hard to tell them apart, despite watching BFC for X amount of years.

Didn’t Manure have a problem with a grey kit. Players could not recognise each other so swapped shirts at halftime.

Haven't some leagues banned green shirts anyway, not to help the colour blind but to prevent teams blending with the pitch?
