Not really. I always though his teams were quite limited in terms of style of play. Very boring and dour manager. Not for me.
If it is they won’t be 4 season tickets in my house renewing ! surely they r had their fingers burnt with poya !
I reckon the new coach will come in after the retained list is announced. I just hope there isn't too much time wasted with the players with a year left trying to convince them to stay or sign new deals. If they want out let them go. It gives the new guy funds from the off. As I said before I'm not attached to any of the players from last season so couldn't give a toss who leaves as long as the club gets a few quid. That said, I'd like to see what we look like with Woodrow and Morris up front next season.
what would it take from the club, in order for you to renew? genuine question. assuming the EB ends on 31st May, a couple of days after hearing what they have to say at the press conference
It would be a great look for the club to do it all at the same time. For the fans, I'm not too sure. For us to get the details we want from both, the new head coach and the newly assembled board I think it would be better to separate it. They aren't going to sit there for 2 hours answering questions I can't imagine.
Maybe not do a press conference with the new management team, but possibly announce it is what I meant
Pretty simple to be honest . stop this endless search for the next young European coach . Try and keep some of out quality players . Morris and Woodrow and try and keep mads . The rest I’m not that bothered about. Helik deserves a move Sort out the catering, it’s beyond pathetic . Clean Up the stadium and make the match day experience so much better ! I don’t mean the fans bar either . Something for the kids . My kids stopped coming because of this . Oh and get rid of the CEO
personally not expecting any announcement on the new manager. probably wouldn't want it either, tbh. think it would be too confusing. for me, the 27th is about getting clarity on the new ownership structure, reassurances about future direction and how they're planning to rebuild bridges with supporters.
fair dos. doesn't look like the CEO isn't going anywhere, so hopefully that's not a deal breaker for you renewing. agree with you on the European coach. even if we end up with a rubbish British coach, I can't see how they can justify another European punt, after the last two horror shows. as for Morris and Woodrow, guess we'll have to wait and see. personally would prefer Morris to stay, but even that's not much cop if he spends more time injured than on the pitch. totally agree on the catering and match day experience. it's embarrassing, for a Club who believes they are Championship standard.
I don't think anything would be enough to entice some fans though, tbh. I think the Club themselves realise that. I think if they can do enough to shift 7/8k STs, they'll be happy with that. the rest will just have to take time.
I think the CEO is still part of the problem . His lies regarding the west stand still irk me . I think we need a new person in. See my reply regarding the match day experience for kids in the family stand . Truly embarrassing by the club . To be honest I will probably will renew as most of the lads I go with are saying the same . However, it is more to do with the social aspect now . It’s the only time we get together and have a few beers after the match . It’s sad to say but that is the only reason why
You would be surprised! Honesty and respect is what fans I know want . The old owners couldn’t spell those words . Remember us Barnsley folk are not thick and you cant pillock a pillocker !
