Always made me laugh how the contact for what is supposed to be a successful business is simply Eddie@

They market themselves as media distributors, or they did, last time I looked the website hadn't been updated since 2019.

If you look into that it appears they've got a couple of Chinese TV channels to broadcast some third rate cartoons from who knows where

Long version here, claims a company called Hongai Culture bought most of our shares

Thun-Bern-Oberland Football Club (Thun) and Hongai Culture Media Co., Ltd. (Hongai Culture) are engaged in strategic cooperation. The core elements of the cooperation are player-based data search, Burnio Berlin's tourism marketing and the capital investment of the Thun Club. The independence of football clubs still exists.

For many years, Thun Football Club has been looking for a strong partner and is willing to strengthen the club's equity base without taking over control of the club. Now, the Thun Club has been successful in this regard. Hongai Culture is headquartered in Hong Kong, and currently has branches in Beijing and Shenzhen. Thun Football Club and Hongai Culture not only seek long-term cooperation, but also retain the club's personality and culture. The core business of Hongai Culture is to provide financing and distribution for the Asian digital content (film, TV programs, sports and games) market. Over the years, Hongai Culture has transplanted data models that have been successfully verified in the field of baseball and basketball in the United States to football. It has also achieved great success in data-based player analysis and player identification, and has established a global player statistics database in recent years.

As part of the new business, Hong Ai Culture and a consortium took over most of the shares of Barnsley Football Club, a British First Division club, and until recently it was the owner of French First Division club Nice Football Club. During the investment of Hongai Culture, Club Nice qualified for the UEFA Champions League for the first time in history and established a new college and training centre. In the first year that Hongai Culture owned Barnsley, the club was promoted to the English champion. Therefore, Hongai Culture is very familiar with the European football market. Mr. Li Jianmin and Seelig Group also participated in the investment with Hongai Culture. Mr. Li Jianmin has invested in Nice Football Club and Barnsley Football Club, while Seelig Group has invested in films such as Avatar, Deadpool and Martian.

Three major cooperation themes of Thun Football Club and Hongai Culture

    1. Player data

Thun Club has obtained a network of player data throughout Europe and increased the transfer opportunities of potential high-quality players. This is an excellent opportunity for Thun Club. Sports director Andrés Gebo said: "Big data gives us more opportunities to find potential high-quality players. This is a new supplement to our strategic planning, and our probability of success is increasing.

    2. Tour

This cooperation between Thun Club and Hongai Culture is an ideal opportunity for the Bern-Oberland region to explore the Asian market. It will be accompanied by more sponsorship opportunities for Thun's team.

    3. Capital

Hongai Culture will invest 3 million Swiss francs in Thun team, and Markus Lüthi, chairman of Thun, said that this is an ideal proportion. Despite the investment, the team will continue to maintain cost awareness and strong core values. The participation rate of Hongai Culture Investment is capped at 25%.

"Thun Bernie Oberland Football Club retains its soul"

In the recent history of Swiss football, all cooperation with foreign investors must be strictly scrutinised. Markus Lüthi, president of the club, said: "We have always claimed that our goal is to strengthen financial support for the Thun-Bern-Oberland team without selling our souls." Lüti said that the strategic cooperation with Hongai Culture also includes investment in our equity, although in the minority equity field. Importantly, the majority continues to be distributed among many different shareholders, and the Thun-Bern-Oberland team still maintains close ties with our region. Hong Ai Culture very much agrees with this view. Vice President Markus Peter and Chairman Marcus Luti have had in-depth discussions with Hong Ai Culture in the past six months, and he was impressed by the professionalism of his new partners. Peter said, "We had a good, fruitful and constructive discussion with Hongai Culture, and they are very suitable for our club." Paul Conway, one of the founders of Hongai Culture, added: "We are very happy to invest in Thun Club, and we would like to thank Luti and Peter for the opportunity given us. We are attracted by Thun Football Club because it has strong management, professionalism and enthusiastic supporters, and is located in one of the most beautiful places in the world.

At present, the two sides have signed the contract, and the first capital of Hongai Culture has been put in place. The new partnership between Thun-Bern-Oberland Football Club and Love Culture will be officially launched on December 12, 2019, and the launch event will be held in Jungfrau at the invitation of "Top of Europe".

The two sides will continue to exchange views regularly to optimise and further strengthen the core areas.
