Probably true. That's about the right mark for them lot. Wait until we've got 3 or 4 clubs in turmoil and then buy another rather than concentrate on the clubs we've already got. Set of b@stards them lot.
Posted this in the '....genius owners....' thread yesterday:- Reports starting to emerge of an 8th club potentially joining the current fold - Lechia Gdansk, in Poland, currently 4th in the Polish Ekstraklasa (top) Division and based in the excellent Gdansk Arena (below). However, rumoured to recently have had some financial difficulties (eg late wage payments) and the current owner has said he wants to sell shares. Then Conway attended their game last Saturday as reported below on one of the club's supporters forums (their words not mine ) Losers want to buy Lechia 25 april 2022 Pacific Media Group is involved in 7 football clubs. Supporters of each of them regret or will regret the commitment of this group. Recently, the face of this travelling circus - Paul Conway - accompanied by Adam Mandziara watched the match with Warta Poznań.
That is a nice stadium. I wonder how the fans will feel about the suggestion of playing their games elsewhere? Just looking at options like.
That'll be a 9th club. I wonder what the common denominator is? Apart from the obvious on-field success!!?? Would love to know if all clubs have something in common. Something along the lines of all grounds being on prime real-estate land, with cheaper land on the Edge of town ready to throw up a flat pack stadium and make a hefty buck? Then when they hit a stumbling block, such as mineral rights or legal block, they lose interest and start to mothball said investment? After all, there are only financial, not emotional, ties for them.
They clearly have very little interest in developing the clubs they already have. Last summer was a prime example of "too busy elsewhere" to direct affairs at Oakwell. It's a blunt weapon, but my take is don't support the owners with season tickets - the ability to withdraw custom is the only power fans have. And its clearly the only language Conway et al understand.
Serious question. When the owners bought/invested in us did they have involvement in any other clubs? Or have their other purchases happened post BFC? I can't remember.
Lechia has too many vowels and Gdansk has too many consonants. If they mixed them up a bit it would be much easier to pronounce. Laking As Ched
