    That was not written in the same style as previous match reports where whoever wrote them told some home truths and reflected the views of the fans.
    This one appears to be a softly softly approach by somebody who has been told to watch his back and simply do a simple match summary and not elaborate into realms beyond his brief.
    Unless there's another one to follow, of course.

    Wouldn't read too much into it to be honesr. It's quite obvious that match write-up duties are shared amongst the comms team. And after such a dreadful season sometimes it's better just to state facts. If we had a home truths-style report after every match it would get tedious very quickly, because really it's just stating the obvious but with a hint of sarcasm. Balance is needed.
