These owners need to go including the CEO . However, I think the majority of the players need to take responsibility on this seasons pathetic showing. Attitude, effort and desire have all but disappeared this season . The same defensive mistakes made time after time, no real aggression in midfield and this endless ability to either pass the ball to the other teams players or launch into the stands . Up front we’ve been woeful . On target statistic shows that. Styles, Brittain, Anderson, Benson, Williams, Palmer Aseka, Cole, Woodrow, Kitchen, are all players that need to take a long look at their professionalism .
While I'm sure their confidence was knocked beyond all repair following Schopp's lack of tactics and Poya coaching any attacking nous out of them, the players must take some responsibility for not pulling their socks up and grafting. The contrast between this season's strolling around and last season's relentless harrying of the opposition is mind boggling
Pleased someone else has thought this. The same players got us to 5th place last year and all of a sudden they’re out of their depth? Yes a few are but the ones who didn’t feature must last season. Granted a huge hole has been left by Mowatts departure but I truly believe a lot have shown a lack of effort and commitment all season. I mean does Asbaghi tell his players to leave a left back totally unmarked at the back post for an easy tap in? I truly believe there’s more to this seasons debacle than inept recruitment and poor management appointments. I think there’s something deeper going on than we don’t know about.
A lot of the players should be ashamed of themselves. Yes the coaches have been appalling but how can 'professional' footballers who train every day fail to do the basics so often? Easy way out for them is to blame the coach. Morris, Collins, Helik, Wolfe and Woodrow aside the rest of them can go for me the pathetic losers.
The social media silence of the squad is shameful. They should have been rushing out statements saying sorry to the fans for the season they have given us. By not doing so it shows how little they care.
Exactly. When we win they are all quick to churn out fans were class, on to the next one etc. When they get in team of the week or something they are quick to retweet it. But when something might get them a few comments they might not like they stay quiet when saying sorry would be the right thing to do.
