    At todays semi .
    Why!!!
    Will they ever learn ?
It’s rife for a tiny minority to spoil and abuse to the detriment of the vast majority and once again we talking about a tiny minorities grip on the game .
Unless it’s something to unite the nation like Remembrance Day etc then do the applause.
Every time we get someone on the television saying its wrong and such and such supporters should be ashamed etc etc .
I’m sure the vast majority of Man City fans will be ashamed and angered but why oh why do we keep allowing the situation to give these idiots a platform ?

Because we shouldn't give in to these people.

Because it reminds us there's still work to do.

We don’t give in we just give them a platform ,
There’ll always be work to do unless we bring in Russian style population management .
Applause works and takes the platform away from these idiots whilst letting the vast majority pay their respects without the negative headlines .

There is more respect in a minutes silence if you're expecting to reflect upon something. I do so reflect.

Clapping is like a goal being scored. It requires the clapper to do no more than clap.

Hands rather than brain taking over. Not what remembrance should be.

Yes I’m well aware of the meanings and why a minutes silence is more befitting and that’s not my argument .
My argument is about doing something that can reflect my respects without it being hijacked and end up being the news rather than the vast majority who were conveying their respects .

Your argument seems to be to say "there are idiots so let's not do what idiots can spoil".

My argument is "let's do what's right".

It didn’t get done though , The minutes silence was halted .
It’s madness that we keep doing it imo , the respect doesn’t get paid because fifty or sixty idiots in a 89,000 crowd gets gets their way time and time again but the signs of madness says we’ll go it again and again with the same result .

The ‘modern day’ mark of respect at games seems to be a minutes applause. There is of course silences for remembrance. So a minutes applause is ‘doing what’s right’

I shall leave you to your world where you're happy that we no longer do anything just in case a small minority disrupt it.

I didn’t advocate doing nothing , I championed doing something other than a minutes silence . So I’ll leave you in your little world of making your own arguments up .

Can I ask what the silence was for?
    I was out until halftime.
Absolutely disgusting why anyone should want to stoop so low as to Marr any form of respect.

You championed the abandonment of a minutes silence mate. Because of idiots wrecking it.

And blamed those who bothered to organise it in the first place.

    End of.

It’s the anniversary of the Hillsborough disaster Ian , and was spoiled by about twenty Man City Fans who were roundly booed by Liverpool and Man City fans alike .

Applause somehow seems inappropriate though. Applause for 90+ year old ex player to celebrate their achievements. Silence for 97 supporters who went to a football match and never made it home with a lot of life left in front of them.

Why not applause for remembrance now then if it's the modern way? Poor excuse, if you're asked to be silent or clap then don't boo, it's not hard!
