ATHLETIC BREWING JOINS UP WITH BARNSLEY FC Commercial We are delighted to announce an exciting commercial partnership with one of the leading manufacturers of alcohol-free craft beer. Continue reading on the official site...
Well done club. Beer without the hangover, offering more consumer choice and shows that even with relegation on the way we can still attract businesses.
I assume you’re not taking the Atlantic but it’s great that you’re embracing the positive aspect of this.
Better than having a can of coke. Cracking drink is this. They’re dominating the Alcohol Free market in the US - who are way behind us on this trend - with us way behind continental Europe. More and more people turning to alcohol free. We’ve sold nearly two million of our Punk AF in the last 12 months through supermarkets. I heard of five years ago. Not quite sure what Athletic Brewing Co get out of it but they have won some major supermarket listings recently so all exposure is good exposure. Clever by the club to bring in a commercial deal outside of the big beer tender. Wine and spirits next please with cans of Nice all over the concourses for the former.
Cans of Nice…. They are a real money spinner! Majority of buyers will surely drink more than one, as it’s a good wine when chilled. I know the idea is to have one instead of opening a full bottle, but most folk I know end up cracking open at least 2 cans of it anyway And yeah, NA ale is far better than coke etc. it’s a good move by the club. You’ve got to consider how many people actually drive to the games, so cannot drink ale. Just need the staff to serve it now!
I'd sooner have a greater choice of soft drinks rather than non alcoholic drinks personally, but good luck with it BFC.
same here. I’m not craft ale fan and if I’m driving would rather have a soft drink. All credit to the club though, there’s loads who do like NA beer, it’s probably the trending market Loko? anything to offer a choice is welcomed.
Maybe this is the start of the owners using their global connections to boost the commercial revenue stream for the club.
I can see the alcohol free market growing but off topic slightly, can anyone explain the point of alcohol free spirits designed to water down with coke, lemonade or tonic? Saw that alcohol free Gordon’s - apparently ideal with tonic. If you wanted an alcohol free gin and tonic then surely you’d be just as well just having a tonic? Each to their own I guess.
a bit like our attack, to all appearances they are there, just not allowed far enough up the pitch to achieve owt!
I'm with you Helen tbh, can't think of any beer I'd rather drink than a soft drink, if the alcohol is missing
Lance Armstrong an investor in this company according to wiki, travelling some miles this aint it or is it made over here. Looks like a Conway job this.
