    I really mean manager not coach, someone strong enough to stand up to the boardroom.
    If love of the club was what was required I could do it. What we need is a football guy who knows the business. We need him early so that he can assess this mess of players, youth players and loan players and decide what we need to keep and can afford to let go.

    Talking about what we need, not what we’re likely to get. We’ll get someone cheap that we’ve never heard of and who’s pliable when challenged by the board.
    What we had this year in fact.

    Six permanent head coaches appointed by these owners. Portugese, German, Austrian, French, Austrian, Swedish. Now maybe I'm putting two and two together, but............... :D

    I get the sentiment for appointing McCarthy but his best managerial days are long behind him. Just ask any Ipswich or Cardiff fan. We went down this road once before with Wilson and that didn’t turn out too well.

    How many times do we have to say this. Mick is never, not ever going to consider coming here. Why on earth would he?
    On top of that why would the Board ever consider him given he'd want to be his own man and a manager not a coach.
