The spaniel who helped his owner Kerry to overcome depression and probably much worse has died at the age of 14.
They were on regional and national tv amongst other things recently as they were in the process of raising money for the PDSA. They raised thousands and no doubt saved many helpless animals.
Max had a brain tumour which at his age was incurable so after as much help as possible was allowed to slip away at his own pace.
Apparently he died this afternoon out in his favourite woods on his final walk.
We doggy lovers understand. Hopefully others do too.
    RIP Max.

I hadn’t heard of him until my little girl took a shine to his statue in a Keswick park last Summer. “He’s my friend” she kept saying until I managed to get her understand that other people wanted photos with him too!
