If you like your cruising, check out Emma Cruises on Youtube. A decent channel, though she has to stop using saying she's going cruising, as I have something else in my mind whenever she says it.
What's the difference between a Cruise Ship and an Ocean Liner? Can't Cruise Ships handle rough seas or something?
An Ocean liner tends to go from point A to point B across Water, Cruise ship sails from destination to destination usually sticking close to coasts. Believe there is only the QM2 that is classed as Ocean Liner now as only one that mainly does UK to America.
I’m cruising the Med for the first time a week today, dreading it, the wife talked me into it. Please give me some positive stories!!!
Absolutely brilliant. Generally sail early evening. Reach destinations early next morning so asleep most of the time. I think you will be amazed. You'll not get bored on board. So much to do and see. Shows. casinos. bars. On board pools. great food. What's not to like. Then all day to visit the port of call. If there's 4 of you or you can persuade another couple to share a taxi. Do that instead of the organised transport. You'll save a fortune. Just make sure you are back on board in time lol. The taxi drivers will look after you. Btw. I was dreading it, having genuinely threw up on the bridlington bell. ( into the sea I may add) and had to come in early, off a pedalo once. Med is calm in general and you'll hardly feel the sway.
Did the Caribbean a few years back. One massive positive - I survived My main memory was the first day or two being a bit unsteady in the ships corridors - nothing bad, but you feel a little movement. After a couple of days I was used to it, but strangely when we went ashore on an island I'd walk into shop windows as I'd miss the actually doorway.
