I don't think he deserves pelters but he should be asked to explain why he continues to use the same subs every week and why other players are not given a chance.
He could have not brought on Romal Palmer. He is, though, very consistent in what he brings when he comes on in all fairness. It didn’t take him long today either.
The way we set up and the style Poya wants us to play then unless we score first it’s hard to see us coming back in games . Still thought it was a good away performance until they scored then wheels fell off.
It does but it also sees me walking to Oakwell with a spring in my step expecting to see good quality football and with a chance of a win whoever were playing. I think he will walk if we are relegated but that will be a shame I like the football he’s got us playing now and he’s starting to build experience of the EFL. The replacement will be an unknown with zero experience.
We are playing better. We look more joined up. We look more positive. We look organised defensively. We look more combative in midfield. We look more creative. We play some entertaining football. The players are developing a better understanding of each others game. Poya in.
Not sure the issue was Poya today. Just a complete lack of backbone when we go behind. Heads have dropped too easily all season.
He did bring Palmer on for Wolfe, which wasn't really required. I'll have to watch the replay, but my first impression was that Palmer's first contribution was a through-ball for them to score.
