From Bridgetown. Starts Wednesday 2pm our time. Looks likely that Wood will be missing but Robinson will be fit. Would it also be worth considering dropping Woakes and giving a debut to either Mahmood or Fisher? Go with same top 7 as the last test. Possible 11 Crawley Lees Root Lawrence Stokes Bairstow Foakes Robinson Overton Leach Mahmood
Mahmood over Overton or Woakes for me. I think both are crap overseas, Overton is crap at home too to be fair.
Not sure about Mahmood myself, and didn't realise he couldn't bat and is number 11 ahead of Leach Ball is doing a fair bit at the moment by the looks of it
1.57 runs a over in the first session. It's only 47/1 off 30 overs but I would say it's our session. Lees and Root both playing sensible and not hurrying the game along.
Another absolute master class by Root with another century under his belt & currently Lawrence going great guns with 70 not out, I hope I have not put the kiss of death on these two .
Just showed a lack of experience there as up to then he had done so well. Need to bat most of the day tomorrow.
Brilliant morning session for England , Stokes slowly playing himself before unleashing carnage on the Windies attack & Joe just kept being Joe, a class act , great viewing .
Stokes coming in at the start of the day and treating it like a ODI. It's a shame he run out of time for a century in the session.
Mockers alert - but I do really like the look of Foakes, he seems to fit in test cricket and I wonder why it took so long to pick him
He's been our best wicket keeper for a long time, and he's a technically good batsmen too. Glad they've finally got him in (though he was injured some of last season I think) and started the purge of the flat track sloggers.
