Said it when watching it live and just watched several tv replays Devante Cole like bambi on ice should have cleared his lines but instead gets blown over and their player curls it in. What a waste of a shirt he is complete waste of a signing he is useless. Poya again wins the prize for the most clueless manager tactically in our history surely. What the hell was he playing at with those changes and tactics basically said come on Stoke let’s play attack v defenders until you score. Stoke were god awful but still hit the wood work twice and missed a couple of sitters. Apart from the magic of quina what did we do ? Throw away a golden 3 points against a bad Stoke team because this pub manager has no clue tactically and invited them on to score he threw the game away. How is the ghost of a CEO doing with the fans meeting Loko or is he still playing hide and seek in the Manx pub toilets ? He needs to be in the muppet show with the other puppets. sack this clown and get devaney and hassel in before Fulham game
I'd release him from his contract tonight. He's absolutely bone idle and should be ashamed of himself and the manager should be equally ashamed for selecting him ahead of the academy players like marsh
There's no way that Cole should have been on the pitch tonight. I've nothing against the lad, but Bassi was in all the right places at all the right times and hardly put a foot wrong. I can't understand the logic of replacing him with Cole at such a crucial time in the game.
He lives off who is father is and doesn't realise how bloody lucky he is to be in a position millions of people wish they were in being a professional Football player at such a high level. Send him to Athersley Rec as it looks like they need a striker.
said it last home game v forest where he almost cost us points - it was like having a jogger on the pitch. lazy and half assed. get rid.
Marsh must be injured, otherwise both him and Cole would be on the bench I would’ve thought. Desperately need Woodrow or Victor back on the bench for these situations. And someone that can drive us forward in Williams’ absence
Tbf he’s probably taken advice from his father who was in great teams with fantastic defenders and midfielders and who’s instructions were to stop in the Six yard box and fo nothing else . Which is all well and good with a great team but sometimes you have to put a shift in to help your team
100% agree old goat…….Cole is awful I’d have the half time draw man before him he’s stealing a wage. Heart like a pea and out of his depth. Should have cleared the ball. But……this manager lost us that three points tonight even a terrible Stoke team should have been 4 nil up but Quina gives us a golden three points chance and this clown changes it all and sets the team up with twenty minutes to go which basically kills us and invites Stoke to constantly flood and attack us with relentless pressure. It’s as if this fool is a double agent why change it like he did it killed us. it’s like we got a buy one get one free with the manager and the ceo from a sh*t Christmas cracker. Poya needs sacking he’s embarrassing he’s that awful. About time somebody from this sh*t show came out publicly and spoke to the fans. If we are league one bound then that’s us doomed for years to come under these locusts. Cole and adebajo upfront benson in the middle with kitchin and moon at centre halves……that’s how bad it will be. Pub standard players in a pub league in front of 6000 fans with the ceo and owners winning the World Series hide and seek competition. look forward to the ‘angle’ of how the season ticket renewal letters will look in a few weeks time. I can smell the bull sh*t already from the ceo and owners. Good luck with that !
Our desperately thin squad was why we lost tonight. Poya made the subs that you would have made role wise, but just didn't have the personnel to do it - it was crying out for 1) a holding midfielder with nous to sit in front of the back four and protect them, and what we got was the promising but inexperienced Wolfe panicking and punting the ball into next week when there were simple passes on, for them to launch the next attack three seconds later, and 2) a striker to just stretch them, hold the ball up, delay play and be an outlet and general hardworking dogsbody, and instead we got Devante fuucking Cole.
Victor lacks quality on the ball, but doesn’t shirk challenges and generally makes a nuisance of himself for opponents. Far better option than Cole for closing a game out
At least Victor tries. He might suddenly forget how his legs work every 5th touch but he definitely grafts.
Just my opinion but you embarrass yourself when you talk like this. The CEO is hardly a ghost and any meeting has got nothing to do with him. Think about it…… We needed to replace Bassi with somebody. When the team works hard and the effort is there, he just can’t last the 90 minutes. Twice before he went off he was needed to sprint back and he just couldn’t do it and almost gave up trying. Might be different with a full/proper pre-season and some game time behind him. Our problem, as pointed out above, is that someone needs to come and almost every ‘someone’ has their faults because they’re basically not good enough. Threadbare squad.
take your point slightly but under hassel and devaney we would not have made those changes. Cole has proven he is lazy and has a heart like a pea and just jogs around he does not look bothered at all. Wolfe up top would have done better than him tonight. Time and time again this manager does the exact opposite and strengthens the opposition with his clueless tactics. That’s what you get when you go for the cheap option. Poya needs sacking before Saturday
Vic isn’t good enough for the Championship, but he knows how to come off the bench and help us see a game out. He knows who to chase, when to chase, and if he gets a sniff of the ball he’ll win it. What he does with it then could go either way, but the effort is always there. The squad misses him right now.
I think your prediction of seeing jalo on the bench might not be far off, the way things are going. Not specifically for this sort of situation, but we need more than one centre forward on the bench anyway. And with Woodrow, Iseka and Vic injured. That leaves Cole and the u23s.
