    I would assume that this is a move to guarantee his silence as it is widely reported he has a lot of information on MP’s as he was the chief whip: another example of Tory corruption

    It's called Johnson cronyisum, just like when he put his brother Joe Johnson, Ian Botham, and his best mate Evgeny Lebedev (whose father was a Russian spy for good measure) into the house of Lords, ho nearly forgot that p1llock John Mann he put him in for causing a great amount of trouble in the labour party.
    But this knob Williamson takes the biscuit everything he as done as been a disaster.

    What gets me about this one is how brazen it is. It’s been no time at all since the exam fiasco, that they had to u-turn on and he was sacked for, and yet they’ve gone ahead with this so quickly. He’s not known for anything successful, his name is known only failure and security leaks (remember Huawei?) and there’s not even been the passage of time to soften it.

    I'd actually forgotten just how useless he really is. I remembered the exam fiasco but not the Huawei security leaks. In his entire political career, his only solid success (success for him that is, not for anyone else) has been getting elected to the Commons and staying there.

    When I was at school I won the annual "Sports Participation Award" which equated to he's enthusiastic but he's useless*. This would be a bit like this except he didn't even try hard, discussing classified matters.
