For a bit of gallows humour, what are people's thoughts on how many points we will accumulate in the remaining matches? Trying to be realistic, which is hard to do this season and on the back of a fantastic away win, but I'm getting 13 points from the remaining 14 games. That actually sounds like a lot considering we've 20 points from 32 games overall, but winnable home games against Peterborough, Reading and Blackpool (I'm crossing fingers with all three and under no illusions of the task ahead) and a few draws would leave us on 33 points. Not enough clearly. But stranger things have happened, we could be on the verge of another great escape BAR v loss MID DER v draw - 1 point BAR BAR v draw - 1 point STK BAR v loss FUL BAR v draw - 1 point BRC SHU v loss BAR BAR v win - 3 points REA MIL v loss BAR SWA v loss BAR BAR v win - 3 points PET HUD v loss BAR BAR v win - 3 points BLP BAR v draw - 1 point PNE WBA v loss BAR
4 games out of the next 5 at home. Derby away. We are drinking in the last chance saloon. We need 10 from the next 15 points up for grabs to stand any chance of survival. its not exactly impossible when you look at the quality of the championship this season
Not enough. A midfielder and striker to go with B&Q short and four weeks too late in the January window imho.
Think it's all a bit too late. Reading winning the last two has done for us I reckon. Last night was a great win but I don't see it as a springboard to us hitting 40 points. I reckon that's at least what it would take now and that's beyond us. At least we should beat Rotherham's 23.....

I looked at the Reading team last night. Drinkwater, Hoilett, Joao, Ince, Swift. They've certainly got quality that we lack in the front areas and if they can build on their recent momentum, I can't see us catching them. 9 points is a big gap and here on in its all about bettering their results as much as possible and hoping that if we lose a game, they don't win.
We’ve still got two games in hand on Hull and I can see them struggling for a few weeks. If Derby can catch them, so can we!
I think 16, which I reckon is 4 short of what we need to stay up. I reckon 40 points is the magic number this year.
It’s too late. But if we can go into the last few games with a gap of 6 points then who knows. It’s all psychological at this point.
I'm ignoring the 9 point gap because we have Reading, Derby and Peterborough to play. We've nothing to lose in all the other fixtures.
There's no guarantee we'll win any of those 3 games. They could be tense negative affairs. We could buckle under pressure and lose, and then another day, pick up points where we didn't expect. We've had relegation battles plenty of times and it's commonly been the case of results being hard to predict.
I'm going to dream a bit here but imagine going to West Brom on the last day of the season wanting a win to stay up... If they've blown the Playoffs, which is now a distinct possibility, it could be Brentford away all over again!!!
We need 7 wins . Fulham and west Brom still to play which I don't expect anything although we are in a scrap so you never know. Something a bonus. Peterborough, Derby and Reading must wins then most of the teams above the relegation zone. Can we ? Not going to build my hopes up but I think we may stay up now we've had a couple of wins. A win at Coventry and I would have said yes definitely.
Gone 24 from the remaining games. Of course, it depends if we play like last night or like most of the rest of the season. Actually, what odds can I get on us staying up I wonder.
