If we can keep this squad but get a manager that can man manage we will storm next season, all that is missing is a manager that can get the best out of our players. We are quite hopeless at the moment but I know our players are much better than they appear. It's not nice to pull someone from our staff to bits but please go Mr Asbaghi & thanks for your efforts.
If we keep this manager, we will be in the bottom 5 next year, there’s no doubt about it! I do not know why people defend him. His record is appalling and he's by a country mile, the worse coach we have had in the 40 years I've been following the reds.
Moon on for sub . Summed it all up . Morris was mortified at the end . Put your boot thru it FFS. The side looked OK most of the game . As for winning the game the coach fell well short . Imo
At the beginning of the season I said we would struggle and the best we could hope for was a prediction of finishing 19th....id clung to this being the case...nothing had really change my mind, that is until today ...whilst it's still mathematical we could avoid the drop ...I am now totally convinced that relegation is the main aim of these owners with the idea that by going down and coming straight back up it will no doubt enable them to dismantle the team has done before with the players attracting substantial fees far greater than if they stay up...organised relegation from day one of the season.... Sad times which I envisage getting far worse before it gets better any time soon I don't like anyone to lose their jobs but in all honesty think poya should now fall on his sword and come to a mutual agreement to leave.
Just as a side note ....the last 5 years has tought me that we will NOT keep the squad together and players WILL be sold..... that is our primary aim under this leadership...its what we do....and who we are.
Don't want to nit pick but he's only a coach. If he was a manager he'd be in control of all things to do with team selection but we've heard stories that he is basically a yes man. Yes we'd storm the league (maybe, maybe not) but not with a weak coach, a man with very little or no say. Or am I wrong?
Honestly we will be lucky to get a fee for our stars who shined last season If we get over a million for any of them ,it will not make up for the loss of dropping out of this league. Poor speculation from the owners . But tbf don't give a **** as they won't lose money. Gross mismanaged of a club left in a good state by our previous owner.
Nonsense They will lose money. Not too much of a gamble of their own money yet as the deals not complete, but they now own a club with no cash in the bank, they still hold debt for the purchase (it'll need clearing at some point) and their asset is worth less than they paid. No direct comeback for them yet, but they're now in negative equity. That's why it's nonsense to suggest that the plan is relegation. They'll be gutted when we go down, not that I have any sympathy, it's their mis-management. But to suggest they don't care or are doing it on purpose is frankly illogical.
Let's get this right , at any point did I sugest this was done on purpose As for mismanagement I will confirm again to finish in the top six to bottom of the league with 3 wins and the way this club is being managed is nothing short of criminal. These ******* don't care and will not lose any sleep ,as have they invested any cash ?. I can't ever remember in over 50 years of following this team a worse set of affairs.
You are right there hasn’t been . We’ve been in worse situations league position wise and finance wise but in a situation of owners who have the club and all it stands for at heart we are imo the worst set of affairs ever .
You didn't but someone else had, and it's a regular theme. Sorry for not making that clear. Yes they have invested cash (to the best of our knowledge) as they paid c£6m for the club but still owe some >£3m in staged payments. But in pure financial terms, even if the £6m is not their money - it's still their liability. So in simple terms it's like you borrowing £250k to buy a house before a crash which means you owe £250k for a house now only worth £200k. I'm guessing there's no way you'd be happy at the prospect of a further reduction in it's value. Again; I have no faith in these owners business sense, they're completely incompetent IMHO, but any suggestion they're either happy with the consequences of their mismanagement or (as others have posted) are doing it on purpose are pure fantasy.
