    Another familiar name from local football from the time I started following Barnsley, player at Rotherham and then manager at Sheffield United. And a familiar voice on Radio Sheffield through Bob Jackson's show, an era where footballers and managers were less sanitised and spoke openly. He was one of plenty of good honest football folk from back then.

    I believe he played with a certain Mr Glavin in their younger days

    Unfortunately suffered from Parkinson’s disease later in life
