This poll is a combined one, both to stay or neither. Talking to the wife atfer the game she said of course they wouldn't protest after a win, I said they want Conway out whether we win or lose. Which is it?
I've never ever demanded a manager should be sacked ( although I l but think it!) but I do want rid of our owners, they don't want to run BFC as a football club.
I put "Never" because no matter how well we do in the short term, this lot will have us back here again.... Winning won't change their outlook.
Thats the response I expected and the one I would think should come top of the poll. I dont agree with it but respect it. The other choices are also equally as acceptable points of view, I chose winning a few games showing desire, thats all I ask, if we keep on losing something has to change but we havent a god given right to be in this league so giving it a go is a bare minimum that I will accept which since Poya arrived we have tried to, just took a bit longer than hoped to get the first win.
It would be good if like @Brush and @Redhelen you explain your selection, like i said above only accepting Conway Poya if we stay up or only if we are challenging are just as acceptable answers as mine or the never one.
I’d take Poya out of the equation and say I’d prefer a “when they show the have learnt from their mistakes and we can see it in the accounts and on the pitch”.
This poll is flawed. The forced linking of Poya to Conway isn’t valid. I don’t think Poya is currently good enough but if he is learning on the job and turns it round and either keeps us up or gets us playing well and picking up points regularly I’m prepared to change my mind on him. I can’t think of any likely scenario where I wast Conway to stay even if we stay up this season and get promoted next. I voted never but that’s for Conway not Poya
Was just about to post the same Farnham. @Duntpasstome, conflating Poya together with PMG/Conway doesn't work for me so I haven't voted. And, Poya keeping us up doesn't make him a good manager - whilst it won't happen we could stay up with 30 points and that wouldn't be good enough. Similarly we could improve spectacularly and still go down and we might then think he's turned a corner and proved himself. Re PMG, there's has to be a huge and sustained shift in approach for me. If that happened then maybe trust would repair but I honestly think it'd take 2/3 years. I have very little hope it will happen by the way. The Trust said the other night that there's still no date for the supposed interview with Conway. He clearly doesn't think it's important enough or wishes to avoid it altogether because they are not willing to change anything.
I find it sad when a lot of fans assume the protest and discontent is purely due to results. It is mostly irrelevant, it is more how they've been treated, the 750k etc etc
@wolves, @Farnham_Red, @Deafening Silence thats why I included the Poya Conway together I knew the poll result if I took Poya out of the poll. This was to make it more difficult. If you choose never that means we can make it to the Premier league but you still want Conway out. So unless you would be content with the other options the vote is never, like i said before while we are not in debt and have players that can give it a go Im happy for Conway to stay. Its the going in to debt thing for me and putting our club at risk, Rightly or not I can accept most other things just not having a team that can fight and going bust.
Brill post this is where ive got it wrong i do thing the vast majority dont give a toss about the £750k if we are winning.
That is just bizarre. You knew how people would vote if the vote made sense so you deliberately made it make no sense You may as well have created a poll that said "Conway out and a ban on selling meat in Tesco" to make it REALLY hard for people to vote for Conway out.
I put.. if we stay up. To me, at the end of the day it's all about first team results. It's the be all and end all. Doesn't matter who the owner or the coach is. I don't give a shiney 5hite about personality's if the first team is playing ok Ed.. a club like ours it's all about the recruitment
At what point does the Conway out protest stop. If we stay up If we are winning more games and trying If we are challenging to get in the Premier league Never
