Well after being struck down with Covid & isolating I thought I'd walk mi little legs off so walking about 70kmts. this week, I took some photos:
Got back from a week in deepest darkest Cornwall. Some first time sightings. Turnstones in Newlyn. Sandpipers in Gweek. A goldcrest at Lanhydrock and a bullfinch…. Somewhere in one of the tiny bit wonderfully empty lanes and rock pipits in porthleven.
My favourite golf course Lanhydrock, full of wild life and only 25 minutes away from home, however I live opposite to Whitsands bay golf course and the local peregrins come over most days.
Lovely spot that. About 8 years ago I had a gig at Port Eliot & spent a week down there. I stayed in Saltash but walked all round there with my old Jack Russell.
I wish, only one I have seen was in front of car between Darfield & Ardsley at about 3:00am. I didn't hit it BTW
Cheers Helen, My favourite season too. The birds can't hide amongst the leafs, get to see loads of species(Treecreepers, long tailed tits, Chaffinches, Woodpeckers & loads of others)
