And no it’s not excuse making or anything else but the inconsistency of the officials tonight was unreal. First half he spoke to Collins after he went to get a drink from his bottle behind the goal at a goal kick, yet just after the start of the 2nd half it was ok to hold the game up for the Forest keeper to change his boots. The linesman on our right failed to flag for at least 3 throw-ins to us when the ball was clearly out. I lost count the number of times when we got a free kick, Forest players, managed to grab the ball and nor release it, and the 10 yard rule was non- existent. As I say no excuses for how poor we were but none the less poor refereeing.
Edit: What a **** game though

I spent most of the match with my head in my hands, so I didn't really see much of the officials.

Definitely. Didn't one of their players get booked for diving near the end but Palmer stayed in the pitch for a dive worthy of Malik wilks

I didnt think the ref was that bad to be honest there were at least 9 people on that pitch had worst games than the officials
could easily have sent Palmer off correctly booked their forward for a dive
didnt agree with all his decisions but he didnt seem biased

He booked 2 of ours for fouls on Johnson first half.

Then gave loads of soft free kicks to us. No complaints.

Agreed he was useless. Should have given Palmer a second yellow for his blatant dive for a start.

Did he, or did he get fouled and perhaps exaggerated it a bit

Should have been booked. It was a pathetic dive

I offer my commiserations to you then for him not being sent off you must be really hacked off. I was up in the stands so a bit away from it, but he did receive quite a bit of rough treatment tonight especially off the ball and got nothing from the ref, so perhaps he thought, I’ll try one

That was Davis. And if he was booked for diving, he should then have been sent off for his assault on Helik (not that it would have made any difference)

Assault? Helik went down like an extra from Platoon. Embarrassing from a big centre back to be honest.
