Click where it says download the brochure.... https://www.barnsleyfc.co.uk/events/christmas-2022/ Correct me if I am wrong but it looks full of mistakes. Some examples being words on the menu being crossed out. "Upon your arrival all guests will be treated to a glass of proseccoas" Don't they mean Prosecco? So when you personally arrive everyone can have a glass but not before? Otherwise it should say something like 'Upon your arrival you will be treated to a glass of Prosecco'. "dancing to your favourite Christmas classics as well as music from the decades to present day" Which decades? Past decades to present day? It's well priced mind for what you get
It's a brand of prosecco they make on Carlton industrial estate by using some cheap white wine and some soda streams. The delicious 1-course festive carvery sounds amazing.
Just looks full of fun & Christmas spirit to me. Really good to get the flyer out so early in the year, as sure the events will be popular. Really don't think anybody will be that confused by "... proseccoas you enter..." buy hey ho, ho ho
I live a few minutes walk from Carlton industrial estate…I’m wondering if they sell bottles to the general public, the wife’s Christmas present sorted
I can't think of anything more festive than a glass or two of Gawber cava and a 2-0 home defeat to Cheltenham Town.
It's a bit confusing as it says 'Christmas 2022' but then on the brochure itself it refers to 'Christmas 2021', and all dates refer to dates in 2021 i.e. 'Friday 26th November'. In 2022 the 26th of November is a Saturday. It also says 'Christmas 2021' in the title. Maybe this brochure is based on last year and they just haven't updated it yet, it seems to be in draft form with the crossings out (track changes? ) too? The 'proseccoas' isn't a typo, they haven't hit the space bar i.e. it's meant to say ' all guests will be treated to a glass of prosecco as you enter the Winter Wonderland...'
Also the terms of conditions....... Deposit should have been paid 16 months ago, full balance should have been paid 15 months ago and everyone who books for Christmas 2022 will have their booking cancelled because they won't have paid in full 14 months ago. I would suggest they remove the article and whoever approved it gives it a proof read, gets someone else to check it and then puts it back up because it looks amateurish.
I'm all for planning in advance, but taking bookings for Christmas events in January? Surely this is a little bit early for Christmas event planning.
I would argue it's not fit for purpose. But we really shouldn't do anything until Sue Gray has concluded her inquiry.
Yes. Just dont be stingy again this year Roy, spend the full tenner and get her a 12 month prescription of the stuff
