I was fortunate enough to be in Cornwall a few weeks ago. Small beach cafe at Poldhu were serving Rattlers mulled cider. Perfect after a day yomping on the South West Coast Path.
I've got a couple of 5 litre boxes of Sandford Orchards' ciders, Devon Red and Fanny's Bramble. I first came across their offerings in a Wetherspoons in Torquay and found a particularly nice tipple called Pomona's Cask. Unfortunately I'd already tried a few of the other draught ciders they had, and given my eyesight isn't the best even when sober I didn't realise it was called Pomona's Cask, and in my defence when the other cider was named Fanny's Bramble I assumed that they were just purveyors in vulgarity. The signage didn't help at all. Fair play to the barmaid though for not once raising an eyebrow on the four occasions I asked for a pint of Pomona's Gash.
