One abomination of a transfer window has undone all the good work we carried out last season.

    Schopp v Ismael
    Kitching v Sollbauer
    Benson v Mowatt
    Oulare v Dike
    Iseka v Chaplin

Do we take the left hand side or the right hand side.

Now before you all reply that we had little or no chance in keeping Val and Mowatt, that Dike wasn't our player, that Sollbauer wanted to go home and that Chaplin was inconsistent most of the time - I understand that. That isn't my gripe. Players leave all the time.

It's the replacements that are key. None of the five above seem good enough at our level at the minute (Iseka has admittedly shown promise at times though).

    Who handled recruitment this summer?

Why haven't they been sacked immediately?

Oh and we signed a left back from Bayern Munich who doesn't exist and Cole. Who i actually like - but who's barely played.

    Second best transfer window ever.

    I've got another one

    Last season v this season

    Helik v helik
    Styles v styles
    Brittain v brittain
    J. Williams v j. Williams
    Palmer v Palmer
    Woodrow v woodrow

All gone backwards at a alarming rate take last night we couldn't even keep possesion for 10 seconds without giving the ball away.

Way i see it, and as someone said here previously, the team we had/have were more comfortable with without a crowd in attendance!
Since Covid allowed folk back their arsehole has gone! How can their fitness levels and nous drop so alarmingly?
A gripe for me is the Sheff Utd home game; 3-0 down and they pull it back by two late goals and then later on we see the twitter ego post of summat like "we showed them what we can do when we got our heads together" spiel.
How come this attitude has not been attributed to every game?
I'm nowhere near knowing the ins and outs of it all, and truth be told I've lost major interest in football in general since money rules all, but from where I'm sat at present, we have in the majority sulky, talentless arse wipes not giving their all!!

This is the big one. No offence to Benson, but don't try to replace your captain and most influential midfielder, in fact only midfielder that could play 90 minutes, with "one for the future"

Two big factors though to be fair are loss of Mowatt & Solbauer & playing behind closed doors last season.

It is the manager's job to overcome the latter, if that is affecting player confidence & the board's to bring in some experience in the middle of the park. An experienced holding midfielder / playmaker could make the team turn it round.

    Also very true.

That's probably down to Ismael v Schopp.

True i agree with what your saying, but we could have done nothing to keep val once his release clause was met, mowatt the same when he didn't want a new deal he knew he would get more elsewhere, sol for me is no better than helik or mads, dike wasn't ours and iseka looks like he has potential at times but similar to chapilin hit and miss.

The replacements as you say should have been better for val and mowatt especially Benson the former grimsby loanee looks like he'd be better off at grimsby at times. The schopp appointment was because they wanted us to play possesion football to increase player value but from what I've seen so far and last night this lot are better off playing vals direct stuff because keeping the ball for more than 5 seconds is a struggle.

Sol didn't play that many games under val, val preffered sibbick. Val was the biggest loss with mowatt.

It became clear how good a fit Val was for us very quickly last season. He should’ve been offered a new deal in January last season, that gave him a pay rise but shifted the release clause back a year.

He was worth more to us than any individual player, but it looks like all the club did to keep him was hope nobody came in for him.
