Thanks for all your comments/feedback regarding the kiosk takeover on the lower East last night. We made the decision not to shout loudly about the concept and risk over promising and under delivering (only doing 1 kiosk and having a certain number of portions) hospitality chefs prepared the dishes last night (curries & homemade pies) moving forward we will be having different companies takeover the kiosk (lower East middle). Every fan that visited the kiosk was offered the new products. We really do want to make your matchday experience better and listen/read your comments. Please don't think we do things half hearted or don't care everyone that works for BFC cares about BFC. Lee
Problem is, the club tweeted about it which made it seem like it was generally available. Might have been better if they'd have said it was a limited trial / concept test. Club says curry and naan bread is available - folk want to see curry and naan bread on the price boards so they can decide if it's worth getting. No one wants to queue up just to ask (or be asked). Its good that other food stuffs are being added to the menu, I'm all for that, but unfortunately it does seem like very little thought goes into communicating it to the fans in a proper way. That's not a dig at the catering staff, it's more a general observation regarding the how the entire club is being managed.
Every fan wasnt offered them Lee as I stood in front of the kiosk for 5 minutes and a few people came away saying 'that smelled nice I wonder what it was' or words to that effect. I bought a bottle of pop and wasn't offered anything either.
Hi Lee, I've responded to you before on here regarding catering - but you ignored it. Please can you have more stock readily available. I know that crowds are dwindling and you've no idea how many people will be there, but stocking up on Hot Chocolate and Bovril when its freezing cold should be an elementary concept. Cheers.
Only advice I would give you Lee - don’t try engaging on here, unless you have Kevlar body armour. That’s not an attack - I’m saying that to help you out. People on here are mightily pi$$ed off about so many things right now, and you’ll probably bear the brunt of that.
Thanks again all, my email address is Lee.taylor@barnsleyfc.co.uk and I'm happy to answer any questions/concerns or recommendations. COYR
Thanks for that. Keep up the efforts with the new food and keep it well advertised. If it’s a limited run, just state that so people understand. Well done for trying it out. I think it’s a great idea. But I didn’t know about it until after the game on this thread. Good luck though pal.
Good that you're so open with the fans. Don't run out of powdered drinks and pop a sign up for the price of the curry meal. How much was it? You could do with either more servers or quicker servers as the queue last night was back at the turnstiles. Look in to giving people the option of ordering and paying on arrival to pick up at a time of their choosing from a separate pre order queue.
