I don't think people are writing him off, I think a lot of people are in the @Skinner camp (exactly as he described, which is understandable). Personally I'm excited for him to start and like the fact he was on our radar before. He also speaks really well, has good ideas and seems driven with a good philosophy. I know we have moved on from Schopp, but it's almost the opposite to him, who came in with no real intent or enthusiasm. Sometimes you can just tell.
I never really took to the last fella, but this one seems alreight. Still not going to Oakwell, til we get some straight answers about the West Stand..
Bang on,,, and the philosophy of the club smacks of short termism. Still, up to now, I'm happy with the appointment.
He got all the usual head coach cliches in we've heard from the guys before him. He could have pinched the Boris Johnson speech from yesterday word for word for all I care as words are cheap and wins and fast are all that matters.
Take a look at some of quotes from folk on here mate, as soon as announced they were saying that’s relegation sorted......just take a look back cos I can’t be arsed doing it for mate
nah I cbh. fair dos, I thought you meant comments on this thread. I don't think there's a single Barnsley fan wants him to fail though. even if they think he might.
Lots of folk said ‘cheap option’ & the usual ******** etc.. But it’s a similar appointment to the last few. Encouraging that he’s been in the frame before. It’s clear they were waiting til he’d fulfilled his obligations to the Swedish U21s.
If he keeps us up there will be plenty of clubs fearing relegation next season that will take a pint on him and pay him more.
