It meant this weeble couldn't attend last week's two home matches. Needless to say, I've been sulking and wallowing in self pity!
At the time, Kendray, it seemed like HD (if we’d known what that was) - early days of video but it was fantastic. Can’t wait for tonight to see Big Trev’s goal fly in when he hit it from somewhere up by The Dove.
I think 19,000 turned out for that game too? And Brighton only brought 25 fans! What a superb time to be a Reds fan.
Just watched archive bristol rovrs v reds 1992/93. 1-5. Redfearn screamer in top corner. Brendan o connell on score sheet i loved o' connell. Taggart and bishop solid as hell at back won everything in the air.
Me too buddy! From 78 to 83 was just ace!! So many great memories. Cracking support home and away; entertaining footy most of the time, and tarn centre nightlife was soooooo much better!
Looking at your username you were born the same year as me so can see why we agree! Definitely my happiest time as a Reds fan.
A great period for Reds fans. Loved that time of my life. I left school in 78 and that was the time where the world opened up for me. First job, first pint, first car, first holiday abroad with mates, first concert... Young, free, single, no money worries, no responsibilities. Just a really great time. If time travel was a reality, I'd be back there like a shot!
They will be some disappointed people who thought big Trev scored from half way line. Still a amazing goal.
