Don't give me that rubbish, we're a laughing stock and everyone involved in the club is responsible for that, they're all to blame, every single one of them.
Can you explain why that is rubbish? Why are the council who own the ground and allowed BFC to lease the ground on a lease which involves full reparation of the premises to blame?
The lease states who is responsible. It's the owners of Barnsley football club limited ie Conway and co.
Look, I'm venting. The state behind the scenes is bothering me more than the crap on the field. I just can't help but feel that the council and 20%ers are being just as awkward about the stadium as the 80%ers are. I might be wrong, I probably am, but I'd prefer to actually hear something from them regarding the current situation. And yes, normally the tenant pays for repairs in a commercial lease, but let's be right, there's nothing at all normal about anything regarding our club, we don't really know the specifics about the lease do we? Unless you've seen a copy of the tenancy agreement...
The council aren't involved with the club they own a 50% share of the land and lease the ground to the club the only party to blame are the board and yes that includes Cryne junior.
Understand you mate, we all care about the club and that’s why we are fed up with what’s going on. I have seen the lease and the supporters trust have also published the details. The issue sits fairly and squarely at the door of Barnsley Football Club and ultimately BFC Investments (quite an ironic name given the lack). I’m going to have a few drinks, I’ll be around far longer than these charlatans.
Maybe the fact the 80% lot haven't paid the full amount for the Football club yet makes the council and the Crynes a little suspicious of the 80% mob especially as with the Crynes its a case of once bitten twice shy
Sadly the club is becoming a joke . Even the supporters are not surprised by anything that happens now. Maybe we will operate with three stands and three floodlights.
Yeah, ta, I've already said I'm just venting. Two hours later and I'm still furious about it all. Just let me spout ******** for a bit till I calm down.
One of the pre-match songs was "Firestarter". Not sure if that was coincidence or a coded message to the Conway/Lee Ninja Squad.
This isn't a conspiracy theory, it's a question: what fuel is there to burn on a floodlight? I'm guessing it shorted out at which point there's the casing round some of the wires, but the structure is steel and the lamps are glass, what's the fire actually burning?
If you rent a property and the gas boiler doesnt work so you dont have essential services then the landlord will repair the boiler or move you to a different property. If this was during a match the getting all those people out of the ground with a floodlight on fire could have been a tough job. Lets hope it was to rescue a cat and not a fire as we may not get to Oakwell again this season depending on how much damage the fire caused and why it started. This is quite scary.
Your first paragraph is true of a residential property but not a commercial property. In a commercial property the tenant would be responsible for the maintenance of the boiler.
I part own a commercial property which is let to a company. Under the terms of the lease, the company is responsible for all repairs, maintenance and decoration etc, as is usual for commercial leases. However, when the property was originally let, we (the owners) were aware that the roof was in a poor condition, had some minor leaks, and would eventually need repairing. Last year the roof reached the point where it needed repairs, and we as owners paid for them under the terms of the lease. I would have thought that the situation with the west stand could be similar, in that all parties knew it was in a poor condition when the lease was agreed, but in any case the responsibility for its repair would be covered in the lease. If the lease says the tenant is responsible, that's it, there's no point arguing about it.
